The Magic Show is a hardstyle concept that started in the end of 2009 on a small radiostation called Hardshockers. After only a very short while it started to become one of the biggest acts on the station. With some darker sets than usual, Tita tried to bring some more variation in the hardstyle offer on the radio. It took only a few weeks for Tita to get motivated enough to really do something with his show. Realising that his own sets weren’t of high enough quality he thought of some things that could entertain the listener.
From that moment the Magic Show started to invite DJs for guestmixes. In february the 10th edition of the event came up. As a celebration we decided to make the broadcast 4 hours long and invited Thera, Solutio & The I’s, Freeze and Vitaz. From this celebration the concept changed into a radioshow that lasts 4 hours and contains mainly guestmixes.

Because of the effort it takes we chose to not invite new guests every week, but to work with residents. These residents have been picked by several standards. As first we really think that the sets have to be of very good quality. The most important standard is ofcourse the quality of the mixwork. Besides the mixing we also feel that we want to be slightly different then other radioshows, thatfor we also attach a lot of value to the originality of the DJ’s that play. For this reason we look carefully to the capibility of the residents to pick together tracklists and to dare to mix different then others. Then there is another important issue that we searched in our residents; we want our residents to value their carreer and thatfor act in such a way that they can not harm the Magic Show or themselves. Last point that we wanted to see in our residents is for sure not the least important. In order to perform in the show it’s important to be easy to communicate with and hang around with. We really feel like the Magic Show could grow to a big group of DJ’s that actually know all other residents and feel and act as a part of a community.

After some weeks of carefull considerations we have decided a select a small amount of residents. However to be able to offer the listeners variaty we also searched contact with some labels. In the contact with our labels we also seak several important points. The first point that we care for is ofcourse the quality of the productions. The Magic Show is supposed to be quality and we want all people involved to radiate this quality. Another important standard is that we would like the label to be representing their own style. Ofcourse for the labels counts the same standards as for the residents when it comes to behaviour, communication and loyalty.
At this very moment the Magic Show is broadcasting on Real Hardstyle Radio. We chose to move here because we feel like this radiostation is a station that gives us the freedom and support to provide the listener the best quality that we can. In cooperation with the station we are able to bring more variation to our listeners. An important part of the variation they offer is the studiosession that we can hold in their studio on regular base.

Right now we work together with 11 residents and 3 labels. The residents are to be heared once a month or two months, while the labels can be heard once every month. Besides these expanding amount of residents we also have a weekly guest in our show. In general the guest that we have in the show are the some more known performers in the harddance world.
The Magic Show is always searching for ways to improve and entertain their listeners. We can assure you that in the future you will hear a lot more of us. On the radio, but perhaps on other places too. We are always searching for new residents, ideas and partners. This week in the Magic ShowKnockout Beats will present one of their newly signed talents. Later on the evening we will have a special guest mix and our residents San Miquel and Freeze will end your musical evening!

As announced we start the evening with two new talents that are signed on Knockout Beats. Identic have been around in the scene but this year they are making it to several big festivals all around Europe. Wednesday evening they play some of their new tunes exclusively in the Magic Show!

The next DJs in line have already played on many big events trough the entire world. With releases on Straigh On and nowadays on Dutch Master Works they are known throughout whole the hard dance scene as a great producing couple. Hear Pradera's sound Wednesday in the Magic Show!

The next hour will be filled in by our resident San Miquel, this DJ has been impressing many people since he joined the Magic Show crew. With his mixing and good choice of tracks he entertained so far thousands of people, don’t miss this set either!

The last hour will be filled in by DJ Freeze, this summer Freeze will be performing on several hard dance stages, mostly playing early hardcore or hardcore. In the Magic Show, Freeze will remind you why you should come to visit him at those areas, playing a mix that only the biggest DJs of the scene can compete with!

Hmm Identic, nog nooit van gehoord! Ik zal luisteren, over een kwartierke

After a very hot weekend with loads of outdoor festivals it’s time for another Magic Show. Many of you are probably looking forward to the weathercast for upcoming Saturday… will it be raining or sunny like last week? For those who don’t know what I’m talking about: Defqon.1 is coming up!

In the past couple of weeks the Magic Show has paid quiet some attention to talented DJ acts that are performing on the event. We already had the chance to welcome the Atmozfears and Intractable One. And besides these guests you can also check our residents Chris One (as Dimavi) and The Vision on the orange and purple stage. On the Wednesday before the event we would like to give one of the newest members of the TILLT! crew the opportunity to show what you can expect of him on Defqon1! This artist knows how to combine melody with darkness and roughness. With collaborations with Digital Punk, Max Enforcer and some good amount of solo tracks you will definitely have a good time with DJ Waverider. Be really sure to not miss his exclusive set for the Magic Show!

The next DJ in line is someone you all probably know for some time. On various occasions he already proofed to be one of the better hardstyle DJs out there. This week DJ Mind.Illusion will play an exclusive liveset for the Magic Show. Instead of an ordinary mix he will play a set where the focus lays on the mixing, for all those people who are annoyed by bad mixing, have a listen to this great set and enjoy some quality hardstyle music!

Our next DJ has been in our show already a few times. As good friends of the Magic Show we are always very glad to invite these crazy guys in the Magic Show. A lot of respect to those people that actually do what they feel like, regardless to what others think of them. Degos & Re-Done are a perfect example of that, they play what they like and nothing else. It’s very likable that they will even make everyone go crazy on a regular house party. With support from big DJ’s like B-front and Sasha F they are getting closer and closer to establishing their name in the hardstyle world.

As last we have our residents The Geminizers, if you think that Degos & Re-Done are crazy on stage then you haven’t seen these guys yet. With their powerfull hardstyle en hardcore sets they are frequently booked to finish big festivals. This year they already closed down Leuk! Festival in front of 1000’s of people and Wish Outdoor is coming up very soon, enjoy their set!

This week in the Magic Show!

Last Saturday it was a big day for our residents Chris One and The Vision, they both played at Defqon1 and managed to get the people there totally wild. Chris One played as Dimavi as first on the Orange stage en The Vision was the second last act on the purple! Have a look at these video’s to get an impression of the 2 sets!

This week in the Magic Show we have a few nice sets coming for you aswell!

At 20:00 our resident Dweazle will take off and play loads of exclusive stuffs of his own hands! Dweazle made some massive dark productions and had support of various big DJs!

At 21:00 we have our Danish resident Koldsa in the show, this young DJ has been around for some while and is known for his very broad style in harddance music, check his set full of variation and enjoy!

The next hours will be by our special guests, they have been known for the people behind the label “Future Sound Corporation”, in 2010 they got signed by more than 1 label! From now one they will release their stuff on Dutch Master Works, Ezteq Records and Davaro Records. This evening some special previews of the newest stuffs of the Twilight Forces!

The last hour will be filled in by Mythica Records, this time a mix from Mr Trilok himself. Unfortunately Chiren has been forced to stop with Mythica Records and Trilok & Chiren due to health reasons. They will perform 2 more times as DHHD (On 10 years of Qdance and Decibel) and then there won’t be any Trilok & Chiren or DHHD anymore. We truly hope that Chiren returns some day to the scene and that that day will be very soon!

Pff lang weekend gehad en een lange dag vandaag! foutje kan bij iedereen gebeuren

In this week’s Magic Show we have 2 of our residents playing, Theracords presenting a guest and a special guest mix by a good friend of the show!

The first hour of the show will be filled in by our friend Zero Sanity, a half year ago he mixed a great set for the Magic Show and since then we kept in good contact. The hour after the Vision will be filled in by another resident that just visited the Netherlands for Defqon1. As Dimavi, Chris One, played some serious dark harddance tunes on the Orange stage. Wednesday he will once again play some very ruff and dark hardstyle tunes so for all those that really love the harder styles, check him out!

The last hour of the show will be presented to you together with Theracords. Mr Theracords himself will do a guestmix and he was asked to make it as hard as he can. Six months ago Thera was one of the Magic Show’s first guests in the new concept (4 hours show). As some of you perhaps know the Magic Show works with a schedule of 4 weeks. Most months have 4 Wednesday in it but a few times in the year there are 5 Wednesdays. To prevent confusion at the residents and listeners to when they play we always fill in the 5th Wednesday in a different way.

Tonight we will have a small review to the last 3 months, we will broadcast the set that had most positive feedback and downloads. The sets that will be broadcasted will be kept secret until the Show starts, so have fun guessing who were the best the last part of the year!

In the rest of this news message we would like to keep you shortly up to date with how to follow our residents and what’s going on around the Magic Show.
First of all we would like to apologize for the amount of time it takes to get our Magic Show website online. Unfortunately we are dependent on volunteers that work on the website for us and the last months we had several complications in reaching them. At the moment we are searching for some other people that are willing to help us out with the remaining parts of the website. If you think you can help us out then don’t hesitate to contact us
