Ik vind dat eerlijk gezegd niet zo interessant. Als vocalisten als Sarah nu regelmatig op feestjes stonden en Nikkita niet, dan heb je recht tot klagen. Er zijn ook wel een aantal optredens geweest met rappers. Wil dat zeggen dat elke rapper (stel dat hij een bijdrage heeft geleverd aan onze scene) recht heeft op een optreden? Moreel gezien misschien wel, maar commercieel gezien spelen er hele andere belangen.
@Nikkita, you might have 50+ releases, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the dj should put a majority of your work in his tracklist. On top of that, I personally think it's cool to have a vocalist do two or maybe three tracks live to give a little extra to the performance, but I am not longing for a dominant vocalist role in a performance. So in that case it does come down to a few tracks that you're booked for. And 300 euro's is indeed not much, but adding those 750 euro's it's already over a 1000 euro's for something that adds a bit extra to something that is already satisfying.
Because you're not part of some standard liveset like DV8 is in the Donkey Rollers, but cooperated with many different artists, because you're living in Canada and because vocalists are just a cherry on a cake in our scene, it's very understandable that you're not being booked, even despite your contribution productionwise. It's not something that you can blame yourself for, it's just how our scene is. And the Mysteryland example is neither something that is done on a regular basis, and in case they booked you it would have been less outside the box as they did now.
