A short message about our gigs in the end of september and october:
As some of you might have noticed, i had a knee surgery the end of may.
The diagnose was that my ACL was torn and that i had some cartilage damage, ending my infamous football career
There was a possibilaty for me walk pain free but unfortunatly, as always, this wasnt my case.
At the end of september i will have to face another ACL reconstruction and its long recovery period.
This will have big consequences for me.
First of all i can't play football or contact sports anymore.
Yes, i know you are able to play football again (and other contact sports) when recovered, but unfortunatly this will be my 5th knee surgery and i already have one reconstructed ACL.
I'm not able to work for 2 to 3 months and i can't play any gigs in october and the end of september.I went over some options with my physiotherapist (braces, a chair, standing on one leg etc etc etc).
But this will be the 2nd major surgery on my left knee and i havent fully recovered from my last 2 surgeries
So i really need to take it easy and my body needs to heal the first few weeks.
The Degos & Re-Done gigs will continue but i won't be there, unless my therapist allows me too.
Peter will play alone at the gigs in october (and the end of september). It really hurts to not be able to play, although its only a few gigs.
Everytime i think of it i really get upset that i won't be there.
But walking around with this ammount of pain is literally ill making and mentally exhausting.
Once again i'm very sorry that i can't be there, but i'll make it up for you when i'm back.
For the people who don't have a clue what an ACL reconstruction is all about...
Here's a small animation.
