Alphaverb (Official) This is the second track on my album (Substream).
I posted the story behind it on youtube before, but here it is for the people that missed that;
The Otherside is a song I wrote in a period when I realized that not everybody can choose their path of life. Obviously you can make decisions which make your life what it is, but there are also influences that you cannot lay a finger on.
Like deadly diseases...
Basically i've seen a few very close people die because of that and seen what it can do to the people around them. Whether it's your partner, father, mother, children, other family or even a simple friend; it can really change your life.
Sometimes when I think back of those people I just wonder what it's like on 'the other side', so that’s where my inspiration for this track came from.

Just like Rockin Da Rework, this is a track that means so much to me I had to give it a spot on my first album. I changed the main bassdrums to make it a bit more accessible for people to listen to (as an album is not only to party, but also to play at home whenever you feel like it).
Next to that I changed the mid-part of the track to be a bit more energetic and improved the mixdown of sounds aswell.
For example I filtered out some nasty frequencies from the vocals for when you want to play it out loud
The mainsynth has been layered to sound ‘phatter’… just very, very small details.
I learn new things and tricks every day, so sometimes it’s nice to use them to improve a track and take it to the next level.
