I remember that, back in 2006/2007, my absolutely favorite party was Q-Base
Nowadays many events are pretty international, but back in those days, big festivals such as Defqon or Decibel used to have a very Dutch based crowd.
Q-Base was different.
It's the place where I first saw more variety of cultures on the dancefloor, hardstyle speaking ofc
It really gave me the idea of "European Community" at its best.
I mean yes, we had the Euro and we were all under the same flag, but each of us at our own place, in our own country.
Q-Base was the first place with tons of flags from any corner of Europe: united from hardstyle music.
It was a dream come true to me.
I always loved the idea to gather different people from different cultures with the power of love for music.
Didn't matter where you were from in Europe, if you loved hardstyle you were there
Pure dedication!
The movement has grown so much afterwards and it has spread everywhere.
Lately every big festival has a decent percentage of foreign people and it's considered quite normal... But those couple of years stayed my best memory from Q-Base!
Like every fable, everything comes to an end... And so does this legendary event.
I'm glad that I have the chance to say "Goodbye Q-Base", and
I want do that with a 2006/2007 set or, at least, with the majority of the tracks from those 2 years. Please let me know if you have any particular request... I'll read 'em all
Cya next week! #qbase @q_dance
