THE MAGIC SHOW PRESENTS A NEW RESIDENT: GECK-O
This week TMS will announce a new resident every day. Each of this residents will be frequently heard on The Magic Show Podcast on Q-dance radio. The second resident we would like to present to you always has his happy face on: Geck-o!

https://www.facebook.com/geckoNLGeck-o is in real life Rik van Dam, born in 1989, living in the epicenter of hardstyle music: The Netherlands.
His love for electronic dance music developed at a young age, always looking for something more energetic. This took him on a journey from trance, through hardtrance, to hardstyle! This genre seemed to be invented for him with its raw sounds, driving basslines and incredible vocal tricks. Getting deeper into the sound, Rik started producing himself in 2007 under the name Geck-o. He developed quickly and after only one year, he already had his first official release!
In 2009, he contacted Theracords, an upcoming label that claimed to produce music from the heart. He got to know founder Dj Thera and discovered his claim was not a lie - this label was all about passion for the music! Geck-o did not hesitate and he signed with this awesome label. He saw himself and Theracords grow bigger with the time, eventually leading to his first DJ performance - in Belfast, remarkably! Bookings in The Netherlands and other countries like Spain and Sweden followed soon.
The year 2011 can be seen as the big breakthrough of Geck-o. He got support from the biggest DJs like Headhunterz – who even made his own exclusive edit of the catchy "It's What We Are" – and played on the biggest parties like Decibel Outdoor Festival, Fusion of Dance, The Qontinent, XXlerator and Euphoria... 2012 simply continues this success with Defqon1, Dance Valley, Loudness, Dreamfields and much more. Expect maximum diversity!
