This particularly bootleg/dj tool/remix was inspired by that famous Rotterdammer - the Ferry Corsten Remix. His remix was such a classic and influential piece, I really wanted to do something that would bring those feelings back, but in a hardstyle sense and for the festival goers who might have forgotten the original.
All the sounds have been remade from scratch using my Virus Powercore and then the TI as a layer for the big chords, I don't use presets that other people have made. I try to make each sound from scratch, even if its something that already exists. I do that with plucks, bells, pads, big leads and so on, I guess I like the challenge of that.
This is something that only took a few days to do because I wanted what I call 'festival ammo' for The Qontinent - as a DJ I want tracks that have a nice feeling and work on the dancefloor. Nothing *too* serious. There's always more cool tracks in the works of all flavours. I did think that in the same week I did this, I did 'the other side'. Switching it up, and keeping things interesting is healthy! Now that I've done a big trance number, a reverse bass track and a tech-monster (brainfunk), I'd say its time for something that is in triplet and raw - Dutch style
