It’s happening: The Funky Cat’s first party! Mark the 20th of February in your agendas

The first party that’s completely mine... and I am damn proud to put it down just the way I want it. I have fixed an awesome lineup with artists I LOVE and am great friends with – will announce them later, but I think you love them too – and I’ll play two sets myself.

I have found a great location to team up with: P60, located in Amstelveen, next to Amsterdam. This venue has just the right size, not too big but with a big sound system and is very well reachable by car and public transport.

After QULT, it’s time to start our new chapter, and you can be part of it. And I hope you will! Together we can make the first Funky Cat a night to never forget. I hereby invite you to get your ticket and secure your participation:

Nu het beruchte QULT-concept is gestopt, springt boegbeeld Geck-o in het gat met zijn eigen feest “The Funky Cat”. Deze avond zal hij zijn unieke blend van stijlen als subground, techno, electro en hardstyle laten horen. Stevig en speels, met de nodige ups, downs en lak aan de hokjes - maar altijd dansbaar.

De bezoekers zullen deel uitmaken van het begin van iets nieuws. Voor liefhebbers is deze eerste editie dan ook een echte must, en voor anderen is het de perfecte gelegenheid om kennis te maken met de bijzondere, diepgaande en toch opvallend toegankelijke muziek van Geck-o & Friends.

Deze “friends” zullen later bekend worden gemaakt, maar we kunnen alvast verklappen dat ze uit maar liefst drie verschillende landen komen, en ze niet de minste artiesten zijn! Ze zullen door The Funky Cat worden uitgedaagd om iets bijzonders neer te zetten, en het publiek mee te nemen op de reis van de avond. De exclusieve afsluiter die we hebben gestrikt, zal het kersje op de toch al zo lekkere taart zijn...

Naast P60 is Amstelveen Busstation, komen bussen vanaf Bijlmer, Hoofddorp/Schiphol, Uithoorn, Aalsmeer en Amsterdam Centraal. Je kan ook met de metro komen, moet je uitstappen bij Amstelveen Centrum. Dan is het ong. 10 minuten lopen.

De nachtbus stopt ook op busstation. Je kan dus zo naar Amsterdam centraal

Wavolizer (dk) – oh yes, he’s coming all the way from Denmark, to close down the party with a special and exclusive cross-genre set! As one of my best friends over the years, we’ve seen eachother grow into the artists we are now, and it feels great to have him at my party. He’s now making name for himself with his blend of drum and bass and industrial hardcore sounds, but at The Funky Cat he will show his versatality, pushing out the last energy from the crowd. Bold Action – has shown himself as one of the greatest talents of the moment, with his heavy and intense productions. But a lot of people don’t know that he’s also a great selector as a dj, putting down awesomely diverse sets, and contributing to every episode of my radio show with a few tracks. A deserved spot here! I trust him to take you on a wonderful journey

Geck-o – great news, I’m also playing at my party, twice! With my first set, I will initiate the journey of the night, carefully building up to what’s coming, warming up the muscles. Later on the night, I will give it all in an intense power set, pushing all your senses to the max. And you can expect me to play some new album material... In short, the ultimate Geck-o experience!
