Het mag dan wel geen sluitend bewijs zijn, maar je zou toch op zijn minst een kleine correlatie moeten kunnen ontdekken tussen deze sites. Daar komt bij dat hij Nederlands is en hij ook gewoon hier optreedt. Het contrast is imo gewoon veel te groot om toeval te zijn.

I find it very disturbing that you didn't do any kind of research regarding this subject, for instance, Excision already posted a message denying buying likes in May 2012 (https://www.facebook.com/Excision/posts ... 2533252407).

I can imagine that other artists also have responded to this rumor, but I didn't check any further.

The city showed in the beginning post shows in what city the most people talk about the fanpage at this moment. I've seen for The Magic Show even Dubai topping for a certain period. The fanpage owners have no influance on this. Besides that, boughts likes usually don't talk that much..

The most obvious explanation that Mexico City is topping a lot of pages is the amount of people that live there. If you want to know more ask Facebook about how it's possible that certain cities come out more often. That would work better then pointing fingers and yelling busted

Well since artists get bookings based on their facebook likes, it should concern you, because these artists will get bookings, which maybe normally other artists would have got. Considering it is true ofcourse.

I think that a lot of pages are definitely buying likes.

Gearbox has 22 fans in Argentina, but this other label which is european, has 1497???
Gearbox has less than 20 in Indonesia, while this other label has 1018
I would have thought that Gearbox would have been quite popular in Indonesia as well as I look like an Indian.

Spoontech is another label that has clearly never bought likes as well. Heres there stats

Well, let's be honest. Any harder styles label that doesn't have NL in the top 5 and countries like that above us, is faking it. While we're not a large country, we still are the harder styles capital in the world. Perhaps it's a little different for hardtrance (not sure since it's not my expertise), but for any hardstyle or hardcore label and artist, this certainly counts. Damn shame so many feel like that's the number their popularity is based on. And an even sadder truth may be that they're right...

It's just marketing. There is nothing illegal about it. You buy 15k likes for a few thousand euro's, but that might lead to a decent rise in the amount of bookings. There are some unknowns, but if you calculate it, there might indeed be serious profits. So it's economically a pretty smart move. Yes, it's misleading and I dislike it, but it ain't illegal.

It is. It's against the terms & conditions of pretty much any social network site. By being a member, you agree to their terms, thus making you 'sueable' if you break them.

Onlangs plaatste Delete nog een post met dikke kritiek over dit onderwerp op FB. Even later had ie dit weer verwijderd ivm met, juist, kritiek.

Ik wil dan toch even iets kwijt: bij bijna elke grote HS-artiest is de populairste stad Mexico City (ik blijf het nog altijd vaag vinden). Wat ik vreemd vind is dat dit niet zo is bij de grootste organisator op het gebied van Hard Dance, Q-Dance. Daar is de populairste stad vreemd genoeg onze eigen hoofdstad!

In short: It's entirely possible that the artist bought promotion through Facebook, but it has exactly the same result as buying fake likes. Clickfarms will literally click anything to avoid detection by Facebook.

Wat ik opvallend vind: Radical Redemption: 75890 uit mexico, 31937 uit nederland.

De andere populaire man van Minus is More, Cyrpsis: 6245 uit Mexico en 24949 uit Nederland.

Facebook geeft Mexico City weer als Facebook niet weet uit welk land een facebook gebruiker komt of verdenkt dat hij/zij een valse identiteit gebruikt op facebook. Dit is steeds minder omdat facebook je verplicht om een land op te geven maar dit was vroeger zeer zeker niet, vandaar dat dit topic misschien eens een frisse kijk nodig heeft.
