Maarja, opzich hadden ze de cd ook wel This is Mainstream mogen noemen, had mij geen reet uitgemaakt

Het valt allemaal onder de parapluterm hardcore

Industrial Hardcore
Darkcore
Terror
Crossbreed
Speedcore
Early Hardcore
Rave

Vallen allemaal onder de noemer hardcore.
En dan heb je bij sommige genres nog wat subkopjes
zoals Overtone en Splitter bij Speedcore en Industrial Techno bij IHC en Doomcore onder Darkcore.

Dan hadden ze inderdaad zoals sjors zegt het beter this is mainstream kunnen noemen.
(En dan nog is mainstream veel breder dan Traxtorm en Neophyte Records, die al verdomd veel op elkaar lijken qua stijl)

Hoe definieer je Industrial Hardcore volgens julie? Vrienden van me vragen wel eens wat het is maar kan nooit echt een heel goed antwoord geven.

Ik noem het vaak gemakshalve een kruising van hardcore, drum n bass en hardtechno. Ik snap dat ik hier het genre eigenlijk geen recht doe, maar probeer aan een leek maar eens uit te leggen wat het anders inhoudt

Van definitie is Industrial Hardcore : Hardcore Techno wat gebruikt maakt veel felle, scherpe geluiden en (Over)Distortion.
Het is moeilijk te defineren omdat IHC heel breed is en ook heel breed gemaakt kan worden.

De mix met drum & bass is gewoon Crossbreed naar mijn idee.

Die track is een beetje langs me gegaan maar ik vind hem best vet klinken met die piano erin. Hoorde hem pas een paar dagen terug voor het eerst

Today we have big news. All tracks of the original This is Hardcore album will be made
available for you to remix. We will hand over kickdrums and other samples. This is the
first time ever that so many professional hardcore artists are making their files public for
anyone to remix.

You have six weeks to make an awesome remix. We will select the best remixes and
release them on the official TiH Remix Album. The winning tracks will also be
released on Traxtorm or Neophyte Records.

We invite everyone who produces hard electronic music to participate. It doesn’t
matter whether you are a signed or unsigned artist. Everybody is free to show us his or her
talent. Together we will work on new music, this is what it’s all about.

What kind of track should it be? Just make sure you can say to yourself: This is
Hardcore! Be original, be creative and push the boundaries! Pick a track and remix

How to participate:
1. Email your name and artist name to remixrequest@thisishardcore.nl.
2. We will send you the full sample pack containing samples from all the tracks featured. on the original TiH album.
3. Make an awesome remix.

The best remixes will be released on the This is Hardcore Remix Album. The tracks will also be released on special remix EP’s on Traxtorm and Neophyte
