Gearbox wrote:With popularity comes expectation. You are not so disapproving of Unresolved as you are of the masses of fans who continue to buy, support and follow Unresolved. This is because you guys are at the forefront of new music always, and won't be impressed by the same sound on countless number of occasions. Unresolved is doing what hundreds of other producers are doing right now by producing a similar sound to what is currently popular, he is just doing it much better than the hundreds of others.

At Gearbox, we wish to be at the forefront of new sounds, pushing out creative, innovative, and visionary music, but we also have an ethos which is to nurture talent and help it progress. We have some artists who are creative geniuses, but are lacking a real quality in final sound, and we also have artists who have excellent productions qualities, but are lacking originality. We will continue to stand by our artists and help them progress to the next level.

Also, Unresolved appeals to the masses, and without his influence within Gearbox, Gearbox would not be on the radar of such a large audience now. We are incredibly thankful for all of Unresolved's work at Gearbox, despite the fact he is not appealing to a die hard crowd, he is appealing to a group of fans that Gearbox may not have reached without influence.

I can assure everyone that is concerned, that Gearbox will continue to work with Unresolved and all our artists to strive towards creating inventive, original and banging hardstyle that everyone can enjoy. We are actually working on a project right now that will illustrate this message perfectly.

For those who are disappointed with this release, don't be disheartened for our future releases and plans.

I really like the honesty and transparency of these kinds of reactions from labelmanagers. Even though I don't really like this track and a lot of other tracks from Gearbox, I like the label just because of reactions like yours.

It sounds pretty average to me. His sounds neither sound full or original.
Compared to a Devin Wild, Demi Kanon, Re-1st, Demolite, Cyber or Sub Zero Project for example, these sounds are really thin and unpolished. A lot of these sounds are found in the producer section of this Forum.

Even compared to a lot of B artists (Kronos, Juized e.d.) this sounds unpolished.

Please don't tell me this is production quality, because when i compare it to tracks from Wildstylez, Noisecontrollers; or if you want to keep it in the raw section: The Machine, Prefix & Density and Phuture Noize, this falls short by miles.

The only reason this is slightly more popular is because it plays in to the hype of raw hardstyle kids.

With all due respect, I will disagree wholeheartedly regarding his production quality, his tracks are tight, full in most frequencies with great mixdowns and powerful kicks; without these qualities, artists like Adaro wouldn't be supporting his tracks.

Also, the artists you have mentioned are from a totally different ilk, and all great producers btw, but from a totally different style. My point was that Unresolved's quality of finish, is far superior to almost all other up and coming producers in the raw scene, as well as many established producers within raw.

Doesn't matter what brand they're from, you can hear fullness of frequencies and quality of sounds in any harder style genre (For example, the difference between an Ophidian or The Outside Agency and this is miles and miles apart). Especially in hardstyle and hardcore. And the quality of the tracks isn't bad or something. It could be much worse. But at best it's ok, the production quality doesn't stand out from others and still stands below a lot of A artists.

And with all respect. The reason artists support this is because it plays into the raw hype.

I just produce what i like most and what i feel inside me without any rule and especially tracks which for me can do good on the dancefloor while playing live,i really didn't see your point of view if you don't like my production why you waste your time to judge me? Best idea to do right now is that when you see "Unresolved tracks" you just avoids listen and the problem is solved , peace!

The only reason i wanted to listen to your tracks because someone claimed that you stood out above others because of your production quality. At that point i started listening to said tracks, because your most recent stuff is what represents you, obviously. And find that said statement simply isn't true in comparison.

That is the only criticism i'm giving here.

You produce what you want man, it's your life. And ,with all due respect, till this point i have never listened to any of your tracks, so don't worry, i won't in the future if you keep this style.
But the only thing i react to is a claim or statement that's clearly not true, the said statement was not made by you. So the argument/commentary was not directed at you.
Your tracks are not the subject i'm critisizing, well in a way i am, but i'm using them as argument for my statement, i only listened to sound quality, originality and the mastering. Not the tracks in its whole.

And ps.
If you really think giving a track the name "Raw Soldiers" is not playing into the militant/raw hype but your personal feelings... thats just as unlikely as winning the lottery and for a majority of people non believe-able.

So, you're saying that commenting on your tracks should be banned if "I" or anyone else doesn't like it? So, you really think that you will improve your quality by exceptionally reading/listening to positive commentary, because others may not push some criticism? Well, in dutch that means "bekrompen".

By that, I believe you've got some talent, but you're not using it all atm.

First of all, respect for you doing your own thing. I have nothing bad at all to say about that. Keep that up and you will never let yourself down and you can look back with a smile on your face.

Having said that, I just wanted to add that nobody is "judging" you. This is a public forum where people give their opinion about anything and everything Hardstyle related. They give their honest opinion which is allowed. Judging by your comment (pun intended) it seems that you only want to see positive feedback on your tracks. Too bad, because everyone is entitled to their opinion (be it positive or negative) and in my eyes, an artist should take in the "negative" (constructive criticism) feedback and try to do something with it. If you can't or don't want to, no hard feelings ofcourse, it's your own personal choice. But I would advise you to listen to some of the people here that are giving their honest opinions, just for your own sake :)

Yet again, I respect it greatly that you are doing your own thing and I really want to say, keep that up!

About the tracks, "Raw" is not really my thing personally, although I think the tracks are not badly produced. About the titles, I don't give a damn what something is called personally, as long as it sounds good, I don't care if you call it "Pink Fluffy Bunny" for all I care, it's the music itself that does the talking, not the name of the track.
