The Silence instagram wrote:Hi, everyone. Good news and bad news. The good news is that we have 14 tracks and about 67 minutes of ‘music’ that we’re still very excited to share with you. The bad news is that the release will have to be delayed.

Short version: it’s delayed. For now we’ve postponed it by a month, which will hopefully be enough.

Long version: the CD is done, the shirts are done, the beach towels are done. The vinyl isn’t. We submitted the record to be cut a few months ago and the first test pressing we received was shockingly bad. It was all treble. The record was unlistenable to us. We didn’t feel that we could achieve the desired result here so we decided to eat a €1500 euro loss and start over somewhere else. The new engineer somehow managed achieve the opposite result of the previous cut, resulting in a record with no highs at all. We had accounted for a bad test pressing and maybe some delays but we hadn’t accounted for two bad cuts. This means we’re not making our planned date. We can’t release this bucket of noise if it doesn’t sound exactly like a bucket of noise is supposed to sound.
