Multigroove, the forefather of the hard dance scene, is still rocking strong - and proves that in the year 2016 with a series of events that reflect the history of Multigroove and the Dutch dance scene. And how can this series be better kicked off than with a genuine Classics edition of The Delicate Sound of Thunder, on February 27 from 22:00 to 07:00 in the Westerunie in Amsterdam.
The Delicate Sound of Thunder takes you back to the very first Multigroove parties, back to the origins of the Dutch dance scene; An era in which Multigroove as a pioneer kicked in the door for the scene as we now know it in a constant cat and mouse game with the police. The illegal parties in warehouses, dilapidated school buildings and tunnels, captivated minds till the day of today. And of course the legendary Elementenstraat; for many big names in dance music this is still "The House of God", the place where it all began. Multigroove; you could write a book about all the legendary excesses of one of the oldest organizations of the country for whom it is still "all about the music".
Gutted that you didn't experience the glorious early years of Multigroove? Cursing your parents that they didn't drop you on this planet earlier? Just want to re experience the vibe? Then join the dizzying trip through the turbulent past of Multigroove and The Delicate Sound of Thunder on February 27 and expect nothing less than a night in which the Multigroove sound, as of old, rolls like thunder through the night. And this in a location like the Westerunie, which naturally breaths that
prooven old warehouse atmosphere with all its corridors and different levels, where one can do the rounds all night like in the good old times, on a musical adventure through the four areas and chill out. Prepare for the best in terms of Oldschool, Early Rave, Classics, Acid House, Goatrance, Hardhouse and Early Hardstyle through the flawless sound system of the Westerunie.
Many heroes of the past have already indicated that they won't miss this party for anything; early January we therefore announce an extremely wicked line-up which will be the ultimate reflection of the illustrious history of Multigroove. Monday December 21 the presale starts with Early Bird tickets for only 25 Euro. Regular tickets will cost 35 Euro.
